This is sad for the family. I don't know much about these issues, but I did

make all my baby food and is wasn't hard at all. Much cheaper than buying

and my child has no allergies so I would like to think it helped. She will

be 16 on Fri.

Good luck to her,

OT Food allergy questions

My questions are for Lea, and any others dealing with food allergies

and possibly preservative allergies etc.

My niece told me last night her little 6th month old boy seems to either

have food allergies or issues with preservatives. He has to go the allergist

next Monday. He also suffers from acid reflux like his dad.

This is part of what she sent me when I asked about specific food issues...

he seems to do ok with mashed potatoes, yogurt is ok in

small doses... Bananas kept him up half the night last

night.. But I wanted to try em one more time. Honestly

I'm wondering if his issue is with preservatives, he

does ok on real banana, potatoes, yogurt.. It's the

baby foods that seem to hurt his tummy.

I did send her to this site which was posted on one of the groups I am on (I

think this one, but can't remember.)

I know there is not much information here to work with, and will share

whatever she gives me and am trying to get her connected to the group.

Though since she does not have a Vita Mix, she is a little less than

enthusiastic. Would not mind having one but finances for both of us make it

out of the question right now.

Anyway, any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
