Guest guest
Hi ,There was a discussion on this on the group just before Christmas - here is a link to the first message about them - /message/3884 - the poster shared the link to the Nak'd bars website that shows the ratio of ingredients and says that they turned out pretty well in the VM. Guest guest
Congrats to your daughter, ! What a nice opportunity for her. I make "protein" bars from the VM all of the time-very easy. I use leftover pulp from juicing for mine, but you can do them by just grinding up a combination of fruits, nuts, dates, grains, etc., then blending those with a bit of greek style yogurt (I use home raw milk yogurt, but I recommend FAGE brand, pronounced FA YEAH) Add a bit of honey, cocoa powder, agave nectar, vanilla bean, etc., to change up your flavor. I roll mine into a log, like "slice and bake" cookies, then put the log in the freezer to firm up. When firm, but not frozen, I slice into "cookies" and freeze those individually. If you grab one out of the freezer in the morning, it is thawed perfectly by mid morning for a snack, or will keep until late in the day. I always grab several when I am headed out for the day. My daughter likes them "on the stick", where we press the mixture into lollipop molds and add a stick before freezing. Makes a wonderful, wholesome treat. If you wanted more protein, you could add a protein powder, but I am a fan of getting all nutrients from the actual food. From: n1jcx2 <n1jcx2@...>Subject: "Nak'd Bars"... huh?
