here is an idea for those of us who might be considering trying weight

watchers.... like lisa :)

take a look at the canadian food guide or the american food pryamid at

http://www.mypyramid.gov/ and try to follow its recommendations. pay

particular attention to portion size. also try to drink a minimum of 6

cups of water a day. write down everything that you eat and drink in a

notebook or the website can provide you with a special journal page that

you can print. also note your workout each day. if you are doing this,

then you are fairly close to the weight watchers guidelines. ww will allow

you to have a bit more food, or a small treat, here and there though,

especially if you exercise regularly.

no it doesnt calculate how many calories you need. it uses a base of 2000

cals/day and tells you how many grains, fruit, veggies, dairy, meat and

fats you should be eating to have a healthy balanced diet.

Actually, when I put my info in, it gave me 2200 calories. I think

it just goes by activity level though and isn't as accurate as going

by your lean body mass, activity level, and daily exercise.
