Guest guest
Goodmorning ! Slight possibility that my cardiologist of 14yrs. just may bring up the idea of an ICD when I see him for my 14yr.checkup. Early this year my EF was registering about 32%. I was put into an EECP Therapy program (Daily for 7-weeks). Afterwards the EchoCardiogram showed my EF had improved to about 42%. He mentioned ICD, but also said it was not something he liked to do. The new Tech who did my EchoCardiogram early last week (Nice guy....not like previous tech's who had personalities like bricks), said that his test results showed the same, if not a little better, than the one done back in April 2010. Of course, final results come from the doctor, not him. Any questions I need to ask my cardiologist, tomorrow, if the issue comes up? I'm VERY pro-active in my health and he appreciates that. In fact, he remarked one time that, "Paitents who are pro-active in their health issues, tend to receive better treatment from their doctors!" I've found that to be true. I know there are several mfgrs. of ICDs. How do they compare? Thanks, in advance............. - Spring (Houston),Texas
