Guest guest
If it is a watery mixture I think you could run it for a very long time - indefinitely. The thicker the mixture the more concerned you would have to be about the motor over heating.I have never had my machine stop when using on slow speeds - only on high with very thick mixtures like nut butters (in the beginning before I learned how to prevent over heating).A hint - if you think your machine is about to overheat - take the canister off and run the machine on high. This will turn the cooling fan on and with no load to make the motor work hard it will cool off the motor. I've had to do this a couple of times in a demo when I put too much frozen ingredients in my ice cream and was sweating whether the motor would shut off on me :-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 12, 2011, at 11:36 AM, hatchjoyce wrote: Lea Ann, what is the max amount of time you can use a Vitamix on slow speed? thanks, Joyce > > > Hello All, I am new and I am wondering what you use your vitamix's for when you use it more than once a day (other than a smoothie). This is really all I use mine for. Like a one day journal or something like that. Hope that makes sense. :-) > > > > Thanks so much. > > > > > > > > >
