which container to use for seeds

When I made hummus I use whole sesame seeds instead of the prepared tahini. Now

I'd like to make some tahini paste for another dish. Is this okay to do in the

wet container or should I use the dry container for these seeds? And,one more

thing when doing seeds like this alone what's the best way to clean the

container? Does the drop of detergent with water work well enough in this case?
