Well to be honest I felt the same way when I came to this group, it was an automatic sales pitch to buy from Leann, which isn't a problem had I'd not bought from qvc... The thing here is I was made to feel as if qvc Vitamix was a piece of crap, not only by Leann, and thank god someone else who had a qvc model stood up and spoke out... If the forum is about Vitamix it shouldn't matter where you bought your Vitamix from, and some time it just may be that Leann just doesn't have the best deal for everyone, it's nice that she let's us know our purchasing options through her, perhaps in future we could purchase or refer people to her, but what one sees as the better deal depends on what they value, and it is up to us individually to decide., but OUT OF LINE is putting someone down who didn't purchase from her, or saying the product they got, which is a product she represents is a piece of crap because they didn't get it from her!!!Unfortunately many people are just as interested in the deal they can get on Vitamix, from wherever that may be so that they can get their Vitamix, and not all of us have money to throw out the window, but should be just as welcome in the group, and shouldn't be the QVC Vitamix owners and the ones who brought from Leann! It should just be VITA MIX OWNERS, cause that's what we are and were very happy to be involved in this group to learn more about Vitamix machine!Neva been More ready! On Jan 26, 2011, at 7:40 PM, <kareningotham@...> wrote:

Re: Re: QVC - New Machine

Lori,

You are correct that the motor in the Creations is the same as the 5200. The only major difference is the extra 2-year warranty and the rest is only cosmetic.

You are also correct that for people who absolutely cannot afford $379 (for a refurbished machine) on a 3-payment plan with Free Shipping - the QVC model is the way to go.

When you recommend the QVC model, it might be a good idea to mention the option I mentioned above, because some people might want to know all of their options and too many people only think that they can get a 5200 for $449. For some people that extra 2-year warranty is very important. Choices are always a good thing! :-)

Well I'm starting to dislike this topic but I feel compelled to now give my 2 cents.  I also joined right after my QVC purchase this past Nov.  I never once felt in reading pretty much all the posts, that there was any sales pitch to switch or a derogatory attitude toward the QVC model.  I like knowing all the facts about the various models and I don't think people should read things into the posts or remarks.  I have found much great information and sharing on this board.  And where people took something the wrong way, I have never seen a group more anxious to say sorry even though there was nothing to be sorry about.  Thank you very much for this group.  Let's all have a group hug and move on to other topics.  Life is short.  Arlene in Ohio

I didn't get my Vitamix from Leann (had it before I knew her), and have

never felt put down about where or what I bought. Could it be you are just

being a tad sensitive?
