Well, I think one of the first things I mentioned on this list, was that I was excited about the Vitamix, and had hopes of increasing my energy. So I am very grateful that you pointed more to a full spectrum of helps, than leading me to believe the Vitamix would be the end all for me.

I suppose that a lot of people getting the Vitamix are interested in health - so even though it may be off topic to the actual machine and it's uses and recipes - well, I know how to use the delete button if I don't think something will pertain to me. Which makes it really important that people change the subject lines when the subjects change.

I am a researcher, and whatever I decide to take, I research it first. I've been going to curezone.com for years, and learned so much about so many things. Where ever I hear of something new, I always do my own investigating first. I've done my recommending too, and esp. things like a liver flush - which I have done - have people asking me all kinds of questions. I just like to keep pointing to the liver flush page on curezone.com. I'm happy to share my testimonial - but the how to - well, it's all spelled out right there. I don't want to be responsible for someone misapplying my information. So I take your suggestion to research it to heart.

Thanks again - tons. I really feel like I'm being pointed in the right direction here.

It means so much to me Deb to hear you say that because I worry sometimes when we get off topic, but I just can't help myself wanting to help others with the hard-earned knowledge that I've gained. It gives meaning to the years of suffering to think that what I've learned can help others.

If you up your Vitamin D it WILL have a positive effect on your depression. I've also had spectacular results with 5HTP. I recommend getting a book on 5HTP so that you can learn how and why it works and learn about side effects, etc.

Everything I recommend I think people should use as spring boards for their own research and not just take what works for me and assume that it will work for you. I've done tons of trial and error and I still don't always understand how ALL of the puzzle pieces fit sometimes.

Are you taking flush-free Niacin? I tried "regular" Niacin and YEEEOWWWZZZZAAAAA what an experience the "flush" is... I do it now and then, when I remember.

,That's what my doctor recommended to me, too. He said he had just gone to a conference on it and it's gaining in importance, but I think he was specifically talking about vitamin D3. Hi Zoe,

Yes, I actually have the book, but was unsure about taking HTP5 at bedtime,

because I think that it was Ross that said somewhere that taking it before

bed could cause insomnia in some people--I'm not sure why, though. Does anyone

know anything about that aspect of HTP5?

thanks,

Joyce

in the winter months and 5,000 in the summer months and when I feel a cold or

any kind of illness coming on I take 50,000 mg per day for 3 days (works like an

antibiotic).

Hi Joyce,

Yes, some people have paradoxical reaction to 5-HTP for some reason. Instead of

being calming, it has the opposite effect and can cause wakefulness and anxiety.

This happened to my older son.

Thanks and Zoe,

Because I read so much I have all these factoids humming around in my brain, and

then I can't recall where I saw the info initially--It's called Mentalpause!
