This is an e-mail I received today from Fred Bruyns, Policy Analyst from the Oregon Work Comp Division to the " Worker's Rights Advisory Committee. " Our continued testimony in front of the Management-Labor Advisory Committee prompted the formation of this Committee. The continued and consistent steering of injured workers by employers to the " company doctor, " " the local " urgent care clinic, " or " Occupational Medical Clinic, " and workers even being told they could not see a chiropractor when they asked was highlight buy the chiropractic profession multiple times....and it paid off! Below you can take the direct link to two new bulletins from the Work Comp Division instructing the insurance companies to incorp the new form 3283 with the report of the injury. Next go to the link provided by Fred that shows you the new form 3283 and look at the fourth bullet ! Now look under the " How do I get medical treatment? It clearly states the injured worker gets to choose and for once we are listed BY NAME and the best part we are list ahead of MEDICAL DOCTORS HA!
