Guest guest
At first blush this sounds really good. After all we would have access to everyone on the street. However, if PI and WC were included that would be a real negative. As well, what impression would that leave with the general public and other healthcare professions re chiropractic care. The implication might be “if they haven’t cured the condition in twelve visits you may as well go somewhere else because the State of Oregon says they can’t do any more.” I look forward to a lot more discussion on the topic and the generation of more thinking outside the box! Some is better than none? my two cents. Dean D.C. Portland, Oregon [OregonDCs] Cutting ER costs I see from the Big O today that Washington State is looking at universal care as well, noting that half of that state's 2.3 million ER visits were not true (life threatening) emergencies. They are proposing shifting some of this work to local clinics and cheaper options. Here's some data from 2004 on top five reasons for visiting ER nationwide. I'd be curious to see what it is in Oregon and what percentages and savings could be garnered by chiropractic interventions....
