When billing for your Aflac patients, you will collect more by: Use only Spr/Str codes 847.xx IF you only list and code for subluxations, expect a denial. IF treatment is within 24 hrs of trauma, they may get an extra $75. It is best to hold all statements until the patient has completed treatment, then, send the batch to the company. They seem to pay better. IF THE patients or their agent sends the bill(s), chart notes will be requested. None required when HCFA is sent by the doctor. Aflac does NOT issue an ID card, so use patients SSN on HCFA. Aflac is usually sold thru groups but now individuals can purchase DO NOT CALL the company ---- have the patient call with questions We have had excellent results following these “rules” and the patients are HAPPY BOB W.
