Dr. Medlin:

re: " Overall a pretty good article, but again, wheres the BEEF? Where

are the answers on how to lower the health insurance costs other than

allowing the market to eventually bring it back down? "

I too have disagreement with various points in this article. It was

presented simply as another view with some interesting concepts not

generally seen in the arena of 'solving the health insurance crisis'...

The point I take from his tome is that any monopolistic controls yet

demonstrated have resulted in satisfaction of only the interest of

whichever cohort has the power...and we have all seen failures in both

government and the private insurance cabals..... a classic example of

the Application of the " Golden Rule " ....ie, he who has the Gold, makes

the Rules " .....

The conflict will continue between those who believe private efforts to

fund private benefits for those who 'earn' admission by paying for it

themselves, versus those who believe 'we are all one' and MY sweat of

should somehow benefit my lazy-ass brother-in-law who has never worked a

day in his life, and there should be a federal bureaucrat to insure all

the rules are being followed...or those who believe the greater spirit

of Mankind by rights SHOULD include all of us regardless of circumstance....

I spent one career before chiropractic college trying to find an answer

to such a question. It remains unanswered.

I have yet to see any 'final answer' on this complex issue, as where

ever the beef appears to satisfy one interest group, the sacred bull of

another is gored....

Happy New Year....
