Although I have found the discussion to be provoking, irritating, etc... I respect the right of members to have and espouse their beliefs on the forum. I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT THE TOPIC BUTTON WAS FOR. I have grown tired of the circuitious nature of the posts, so I just delete anything that is entiltled Welker/McLagan.

So.............YES...................and use the delete button.

Let's take a vote

Since it looks like this philosophical debate shows no signs of ending,

let's take a formal vote on how the entire list feels about it.

A yes vote would be to keep the status quo, that is, to agree to let

this dribble on.

A no vote would be asking, once and for all as a group that it cease.

I realize that having two issues per initiative is unconstitutional,

but we could also ask the moderator to remove from this list the

offenders who violate the cease order, if that is what the group wants.

I think letting the vote go for a week is a good idea seeing as the

Thanksgiving holiday is upon us. I will then tally the vote and report

back to the group on November 29, 2006.

Have a great Thanksgiving all.

Larry,

This isn’t Washington.

You can’t vote 5 times.

You are limited to one vote and one vote only, (even if you’re dead).

I have an even better idea. Remove

me from the list so I don’t have to read the report on the vote OR have

to waste my time to delete any more of the ridiculous drivel that has been

spouted over and over again by the same four or five people. Don’t you

people have patients to treat instead of writing long winded insulting emails

and trashing others beliefs over the internet? Thank you for giving me

absolutely nothing useful over the past month. I think you have a record

setter for posts in the month of November, , congrats. Sorry, I guess

the sarcasm from all the posts this last month has rubbed off on me. I

have to go now; I DO have patients to treat.

I’ve always wondered why people get so upset over a discussion in an electronic forum.

I’m not interested in the milk discussion so I skimmed them from my in basket and deleted the milk ones. I have a folder for al the Medicare info or discussions. Also Personal Injury folder, etc.

My software (Entourage) also has the ability to make “rules” wherein it will delete certain senders, or put them in a folder automatically.

The recent discussion although filled with hubris, animosity, and borderline name calling, is still instructive. For one thing, it shows how some of us think (or fail to think) in our clinical reasoning. Another observation is how some docs have good ideas but convey them poorly.

I think the band should play on without government interference allowing the free market to run its course.

Hey! Stop right there Dr. . I posted an excellent rendition of sound reduction right there in the middle of November.

On top of that, you will miss my excellent jokes like this one:

Q: What did one snowman say to the other snowman?

A: Smells like carrots!

Happy Thanksgiving.

I concur....less gov't influence. We are all adults and should know how to use the Delete button if not interested. I Vote YES, on pure principle alone. This is like the Florida elections. The question was posed wrong so a yes vote (let the discussion continue) is interpreted as a no vote (yes, discontinue the discussion).

I think Don meant “No”. Now he is disenfranchised and will have to hire attorney Boyce to represent his feelings.

Tragic.

I vote NO! If we can't get along then we might as well agree to

disagree and move on to other topics. Hopefully with future topics

we can all agree to discuss the topic, respect each others opinion,

and not argue.
