Ooooo that does sound exciting. We have bunnies in our yard again

this year. Havn't had them around for a few years but they are back

now. It is nice to see. Especially since we have two new dog dogs,

that they havn't scared the bun buns away. It is wise though to keep

your kitty inside. Kitties and foxes don't sound like a good mix do

they?? I think that animals don't really care what time of day they

are out just so long as it is gloomy. Though yes most of the time

they are usually out in the earliest part of the morning or in th

evening just after sun set. The bunnies however were also out

yesterday afternoon. But it was cloudy adn gloomy hence no shadow.

Time for din din. I remember one year we had a bunny nest right in

the veggie garden couldn't plant a darn thing in the one corner til

the bunnies left. Though i think a cat or something ended up getting

half of them :( During the whole day the momma left the nest

unattended but would lay on it at night then pull out her fur to

cover it back up. Never seen anything like it before or after. to

cute. I love animals.

wonder why they are so hungry. I mean this time of year food should be

plentiful for them - no? Makes ya wonder.

ehhh... probably cause it is free food. Why work for it and do the job

of hunting when someone is giving the stuff away for free ya know.

Though i would think fresh meat would be the prefered food though.

That is funny. maybe they are on a new diet plan. Trying to reduce

colesterol levels or something?? lol lol

Ok from my Knowledge on foxes..........based on all the research I have

done for a report for college; Foxes only become pest in your yard do

to, 1. either there was a clear cutting done near by in your area,

making them homeless, and food scaress. 2. they are starving do too

lack of food.

Foxes eat little rodants, rabbits, and birds (herbavores); BUT I don't

believe they will eat a cat?, because they are (carnivores), don't

quote me on that. 3. There water sorces could be scarce.

It is NOT recommended to feed them or they won't leave, and to stay in

doors when there around; because if they get scared they will bite.

Foxes don't seek humans; but it usually ends up a fox getting

Euthanized, because we don't think before we act.

Call a local animal/pest remover, and ask them to relocate them!!!

Just my opinion.

Example: We had a grave yard down the road that was clear cut of the

woods, and then the neighbors where complainning about coyote in there

yard, and that the coyote's where killing there animals!! This led them

to either being relocated OR Euthanized, and I believe they where

talking about killing them :(

We're having a similar problem, Shaye. In broad daylight, one of them was

standing at the top of a hill in our back yard and didn't back down when my dd

went out there. This weekend, my dd was in our pop up camper that was in

the back and a fox scratched at the door trying to get in!! A neighbor

reported seeing a couple of foxes cornering their cat.

My neighbor said he was going to call the DEC tomorrow, so I'll find out

what they think. They're making me nervous too.
