Kathy and I both home

I finally heard from Kathy last night - she made it home earlier than we

did. was awesome on the way home last night - and without his DVD

player. He ended up riding that roller coaster 3 times with Katey. He

wants to be independent (meaning without me, but Katey is ok) - I saw that

in his face at the amuzement park. I also let him go back to the hotel room

without me tagging along (as long as someone else was already there). He

had some difficulties in new environments- we stayed at another place and he

was not a happy camper when we arrived. Once he got in the lazy river, life

was good! Restaurants were also difficult because of the crowds and the

aquarium was really overwelming for him. He was able to hold it together at

a huge gift shop - I had told him they had beanie babies and off we went!

Overall, he did really well on this trip. Tim asked him this morning if he

wanted to go back to the beach and he said " No, not yet " - one of his

favorite lines, hehe!

One of my little girls was quite PO'd with us last night - it took an hour

before she would even come to me and once she did, she was all over me -

biting, kneading, etc. Our Fiona who came to us as a rescue ran to meet us

immediately and chatted up a storm. She has come a long way from the days

when she hid from us. We can't pick Snoop up from the kennel until 6:00

tonight - I can't wait to see my big baby dog. We did get a call from the

vet who wanted to do thyroid testing on him due to his obesity. He did

weigh 133 in January and dropped down to 122 - he's fat because he likes the

cat food and it took me a long time to figure out how best to feed the cats

without him stealing their food (well he still does, but now I just give

them a little bit at a time and if he sneaks it, it's not the whole self

feeding container full).

I hope everyone had a safe 4th and I am really thinking of those in Florida

and Alabama from this list.
