Guest guest
Dear colleagues, I'm excited to tell you that thanks to the hard work of your two trade organizations ODOC and the CAO working together we gained a small but substantial win today for our Workers' Comp patients. The Management-Labor Advisory Committee (MLAC) voted unanimously to increase chiropractic visits to 18 visits from 12 and increased time from 30 days to 60 days. They set aside our proposal for an any willing provider provision to be study later so they didn't say no to this piece. Now this may not seem like much of a win to many of you but considering the fact that MLAC had voted down every proposal the chiropractic profession had place in front of them for 17 long years this is a real substantial change. It has always been the Management side of the MLAC committee that would vote us down the side beholding to SAIF., Self Insured Groups, AOI, and the business lobby in general. Bottom-line our grass roots hard work over the last four to five years is really paying off and the best is yet to come dear colleagues. Those of you reading this please consider adding you name to the list of 160+ doctors who are contributing monthly to our PAC called "ICE PAC" This is money we use to host functions, go to functions and give directly to legislators and candidates that are good on our chiropractic patient issues. You can choose to give at the $25, $45, or $85 monthly levels aka., bronze, silver, and gold. When we get another 150 doctors (btw there is over 1200 DCs in the state) just giving at the $25/month level that translates into an additional $45,000 per year we can use toward political grass roots action! So who among you on this list serve who are not currently giving to ICE PAC will STEP UP? let me know give me your mailing address and I'll make sure Dr. adds you to the list and we will send out this month's "ICE PAC Newsletter!" Cheers, Vern Saboe
