Guest guest
Jeanine I'm so sorry about your daughter and . I am going thru a real rough time myself right now. My oldest daughter (who has my only granddaughter) is 3-1/2 months pregnant. Last week she was told that there may be a problem with the baby and we had to travel to Syracuse to the Perinatal Unit. Then after they did the sonogram they called Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester and had to travel out there the next day. She went thru 2 amniocentesis (sp?) procedures to get a piece of the placenta to do testing on. None of the 3 possibilities that they think it is are good. We have to wait 10 - 14 days for the results and then they'll have to decide whether to terminate the pregnancy. We're all just devastated. I just hope it doesn't deter her from trying again. She's 32 yrs old and I feel she still has a few good years left before she's too old to have any more. Everybody......please say prayers for both Jeanine's family and mine. Thanks Natural thumbs up! OK OK OK, so 100% natural is not for everybody. Myself, I am taking baby steps where I can and as I become aware. Sometimes my hubby calls me his gypsy.. I donno, whateeevver. When I talk about using ACV for controling breakouts or using soap on teeth or I get flack when I wont buy any soda and I wont buy sugar... but its baby steps and they have babier steps. Here is something pretty cool... Last weekend I got some pretty nasty little lye burns on my arm from splitting up a 50 pound bag. My own stupid mistake for not wearing sleeves and it was a little bit of humidity in the air. Anyway so I got some burns. I have been putting emu/lavender and sometimes comfrey oil and sometimes Debs comfrey salve on it.. and Im sure the 3 hours a week I spend in a clorinated pool dont hurt it either (no, not natural but pretty disinfective) Anwyay its already starting to heal up nicely. I dont know what kind of scar I will get or if that will go away too but I beleive the comfrey, lavender and emu are doing a great job of healing me up fast. You know these burns usualy take a while to heal. So there is my testiment to it. (I wish Comfrey salve could help my car ) Thumbs up natural! Now If I can figure out what chickweed looks like... hmmmmm Hey, I have a tiny patch of violets under my birdfeeder. Anything I can do with just a little bit? Thanks guys Shaye

Guest guest
Thank you, Beth. It's also going to be hard to explain to their daughter who will be 5 yrs old in August. She sees her mommy's tummy getting big and is so excited about being a big sister. Our dog died 2 yrs ago and she STILL asks about her. So this is going to be tough. Re: Jeanine , that sounds stressful and devastating. My prayers are with all. Guest guest
Yes, it is. That's so young to have to be confronted with one of the harder things in life, poor baby. Guest guest
I've never been real thrilled with my Neptune either. I don't like the fact that it doesn't have a lint catcher. I think it's the biggest waste of $1000 I ever spent. RE: OT-Fabric Softner -nne I use vinegar where the fabric softener goes, too. But I'm just wondering .... do I still have to use a fabric softener sheet in the dryer? ~nne [blog] http://bathtubjunki <http://bathtubjunki <http://bathtubjunkie.net/> e.net/> e.net/
Guest guest
Yes , I've gone round and round with the Whirlpool Co. (they make the Maytag). I hate that the lint gets pushed into the clothes when it spins out. This makes for little balls of cat fur and lint on my clothes (in my new Maytag dryer). The company just does the pat on the head thing although they did install a new rubber gasket and give me some tablets to allegedly control the mold. Sure shoots the 'water saver' theory when you have to run the washer without clothes. I refused to do this. I keep the door open after doing a load so that the washer can dry out. Wish I had my old washer back. I hear it is still working. Jeanine Jeanine's Hummingbird Soap Works RE: OT-Fabric Softner -nne I use vinegar where the fabric softener goes, too. Guest guest
Jeanine A few years ago there was a recall on my washer. That seal around the door area would get all moldy. I got to have my local deal replace that part and I don't have that problem any more. I never got given any tablets, though. Guest guest
, I wish they'd recall my washer!!! The woman I spoke to insisted that the clothes get cleaner (I think not) but that there is a problem with mold with some washers. They sent a package of some sort of tablets but I never used them. Couldn't see running the washer with nothing in it. I am just unhappy with both appliances but can't afford to replace them so soon. Don't know what I'd buy because I'm hearing stories about all of them Jeanine Jeanine's Hummingbird Soap Works RE: OT-Fabric Softner -nne I use vinegar where the fabric softener goes, too. Guest guest
Wow, it really IS a common thing. Thanks for the research. I love pork tenderloins and they say you can eat that with a little pink inside but I think from now on I'll BURN it first to make sure it's cooked enough before I eat it!! Guest guest
I like pork also but as you said - cook, cook, cook. Never did like 'rare' pork but I do like very rare beef. Guest guest
That is a complete missconception. my sister is a chef as are a few other people related by marriage. The color of a meat item has nothing to do with its donenes. you can have pink pork or beef for that matter as long as the internal temp is at the right level. Just the same as you can have a really chared burnt piece of meat , chicken, or pork but it might not have ever reached the proper temp inside for killing off any bugs that might be lurking. it sounds impossible but it is. especially while cooking on the grill. the flames are too hot and you burn the outside real quickly but inside could be frozen cold. to be safe always use a thermomiter and insert it into the center of the thickest part of your food and make sure you are checking for the proper temp of the food your cooking. > > Wow, it really IS a common thing.
