OR DCs,

FYI…

-->1. Medicare Fees for

2007 - Remain at 2006 Levels

The Dollar Conversion factor

for 2007 was frozen at the 2006 level by Congress during its last session in

December 2006. There was a scheduled decrease in the dollar conversion factor

to $35.9848, but it was averted, due to concerned providers and a responsive

Congress, with the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006. Consequently, the

national dollar conversion factor remains at the 2006 level of $37.8975.

Because of updates to the RVUs, some fees for codes changed, such as the 98941,

which RVU went from

..96 to .95 Expanded

details are available at

http://www.cms.hhs.gov/PhysicianFeeSched/01_overview.asp

Exact fees for the three CMT

codes for each Medicare geographic location is available from your CMS carrier,

or from the CMS site http://www.cms.hhs.gov/apps/pfslookup.
