Guest guest
Docs. I have had two patients this week who complain of bladder infection type problems, but have been tx. unsuccessfully with antibiotics. One 37 yoa of 5 months duration, the other 47 yoa of 2 months duration. Both complain of a full feeling in their bladder, pain during or just after intercourse, and some referred leg sx. One patient's mother has the same sx. Both stated that it started after a vacation, one on a cruise, the other up in the mountains in a cabin. One with blood in the urine, but only one UA with WBC. The other was negative. Cultures are negative. I am stumped. Have any of you found anything like this in your practices, and do you know what organism may be causing this? Both are in monogamous long-term married relationships so odd sexual practices should be of no concern. (well, that may be an assumption I made on my own as I did not ask about this aspect of their life) Any help would be wonderful as both are at their wits end.
