Guest guest
I also can relate to not being able to discuss my goals and healthier lifestyle with certain family and friends. Either they say " are you still on that diet? " or " are you feeling ok, you look so thin. " first of all it's not a diet and yes I feel better than I ever have and I am at higher weight [due to increased muscle] than I was the last time you saw me~ These people that say these things are family and friends that could stand to loose a few lbs themselves but insist that they just don't have time, or you have to exercise too type of attitudes. So they are throwing their negative comments at me in hopes of sabatoging my efforts so they don't have to rexamine their efforts or lack there of. I was brought up with the attitude if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all...you know I have noticed that for the most part others practice this as well except when it comes to eating healthy and exercising. Then everyone and their brother has an opinion on the subject. So you can either let it bother you or choose to ignore it...However it is hard to ignore it when someone that you respect is full of negativity and is trying to sabotage the efforts you are working hard on. I guess that there will always be someone in our lives that will just not get or relate to anything like these programs.
