RE: ODOC and Chiropractic Day at the Capitol

have to agree with Ann: it is good not to exclude them but that book, brought in at the last minute as they did with the determination to give it to every legislator was way over the line. Would enjoy interacting with them if they will leave the peripheral issues at home. This is a day to triumph chiropractic and it's effect in and on the marketplace, not the individual issues per se.

Vern: I think it is great, in theory, to do CDAC together with ODOC... except that when we did two years ago, they showed up with some whacko fear filled book and completely FREAKED OUT our representatives in government. When I got to Betsy her eyes were glazed over and she was overwhelmed. She was unable to hear the message WE (CAO) had about our legislative agenda for the session because of what characterize as poisoning by ODOC. If that initial contact had been POSITIVE (which is the idea of the day afterall), we could have had more support including getting our billed signed by the governor. We must be focused, clear and deliver our message without distractions. We have things we want to do this session. Let's all know what they are, understand the background, how to talk about them and articulate to those who need to hear. If ODOC doesn't agree to the above, let's change the date and exclude them. We will never succeed with back stabbing and a confused message.

What exactly was the 'book' ? What did it say, what was its' intent ?

I used to have it our reception. I read it and thought it that it was

a great effort by Dr. Lind. He is obviously no dummy and he is quite

well read with respect to biotech and sustainability, genetic

engineering, " epigenetics " etc. One of my patients liked the book so

much they must have taken it home and never returned it because it is

no longer in reception :-(

Hi dear colleagues,

From Petra, Jordan.....as per ODOC and Dr. Lind. As the CAO lobbyist and then President appropriately came to me first about distributing the book to legislators during the day at the capitol. I reviewed the book and gave the ok to do so....Dr. Lind was absolutely be appropriate and professional in how he first came to me asking permission as well as my opinion. I have not heard of any negative feedback from any legislators regarding his book....

....and no, is right. Dr. Lind is no dumbing and I for one appriciate him as a valued colleague.

Dear Dr. Vern:

Thank you for your reply to negative statements by DR's Ann Goldeen and Sunny

Kierstyn about ODOC's helping on our last Chiropractic day at the capital.

The book in question is " Baron Harvest " by ODOC member and chair of our public

health committee Dr. Lind. The book is a thriller about genetic

engineering of foods and the potential effects it may have on an individual's

health.

I know Betsy and nothing including this book will cause her to be

" glazed over and overwhelmed " as stated by Dr. Goldeen. The passing out of this

book did not poison any legislator and prevent the governor from putting his

signature on any bill.

When at the capital and working the halls we need to be focused and clear.

We do not need some whacko freaking out our representatives. Also do not need

some whacko making negative statements that are not true about all the very

hard work ODOC has provided this profession at the capital.

ODOC and CAO are working very well together, are focused and know what we

have to do. We need and depend on each other concerning MLAC and future

legislative hearings.

What a creepy subject this genetic

engineering subject is! Perfect subject for a thriller…too perfect. I’m

placing my order today for Dr. Lind’s book. For those of you interested in

the subject of GMO shenanigans being perpetrated by corporations, mostly on

Americans (apparently screwing around with European’s food supply is like

trying to take a bone away from a strange Rottweiler…don’t try it)

take a look at Jeffery ’s “Seeds of Deception”. I saw

him give a presentation a couple years ago at an American Academy

of Environmental Medicine annual convention and he really blew everyone away.

He also has some DVD presentations available. Talk about letting the genie out
