I did my 8 week measurements and was expecting a lot more (or less I guess LOL) than what I got. I shouldn't complain, as I have lost 10.5 lbs so far in Challenge 3 and my goal was 15 so I am well within reach if I work hard. Your journal entry inspired me to do just that! I'm almost back up to my beginning weight (Yikes!). Oh well, we're all human! At least we are " starting back " ! Instead of the 'jean' picture this time I am doing the progressive pose that EAS uses of the girl in motion. (I look pretty pathetic!) I'll post pics whenever I have progress. It's extremely difficult to get back on track once you allow yourself to gain back some (or all) of the weight that you worked so hard to lose. It's discouraging, and it's easy to beat yourself up, get depressed and simply give up. I think starting over is part of the process. You learn something new each time. The most important thing is to forgive yourself, refocus and not give up. I've been doing really well for a month (after having a rocky two months of do overs), and this past weekend I really blew it. A free day turned into a free week. I was travelling, and it was just too easy to give into temptation. I woke up feeling so bloated again, thinking I'd never do it again. But I probably will. I can't dwell on that, just on the fact that TODAY I did well, hit my ten during cardio and ate four clean meals (thus far). I definitely tend to beat myself up for what I perceive to be my weakness, but you sound upbeat and positive, which is great. Keep it up. LOL But so far I am doing really good no cheats since I started on Sat. and I have been really good with my water and supps! So I am happy as well...at least I am doing something positve now instead of letting denial take over any longer. The journal is there to hopefully inspire others [in a good way of course] ;0) But it looks like there is quiet o few oldtimers that posted they too suffer at the same fate of the backsliding gremlins.
