Guest guest
Hey, don't worry at all, Shaye! We're not even putting up a Christmas tree this year. It feels strange, but we just didn't see the point. We'll be traveling to Indiana for Christmas, and we'd only get like a few weeks to enjoy the tree, really. Plus, I just don't have a whole lot of energy right now. Next year, however, for our son's first Christmas, I'm sure it will be a different story! We'll probably go all out! hehe But for this year, our only Christmas decorations are the Christmas cards that we've received [sitting on our entertainment center] and a peppermint stick candle that my grandpa made with a Christmas wreath around the bottom. Hey, at least that's something! LOL! I had planned to get the candles that you can sit in each window, but I haven't found any yet that I like. Oh well, at least we have Christmas spirit in our minds and hearts ~ just no decorations this year! ~nne http://bathtubjunkie.star-shaped.org/ -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . Guest guest
nne, do you have any Christmas music? Playing may help replace the decorations. We don't decorate nearly as much for Chanukah, but with little kids around, there's plenty of spirit! Now that my daughter's grown and out of the house I sometimes find it difficult to get into the holiday. I find a little Chanukah music helps. Shaye, At least you got around to putting any Halloween decorations up! I didn't. Somehow this year it seems more difficult getting to things. Sigh. Guest guest
We just put our tree up the other day. I think that's earlier than normal. Usually we're so lazy about getting it up that it goes up about a week before Christmas. I like the idea of the santa hat on the pumpkin though! LOL, make your own unique decorations!!! Besides, I'm sure you've been too busy creating to be bothered with decorations. Guest guest
After my shows were done, I had several commitments during that week, then put some stuf in an small art gallery for consignmnet and then opened a booth in a second craftmall so I have been busy. Yesterday I shopped (xmas) till I dropped and today im home puttering on the house but I dont think im gonna get to those decorations yet. I always tell my hubby he needs more wives to help me! not serious though of course but imagine the possibilities! later gaters!
