Congrats on the great show, Leigh! I hope you and all the rest of the list

members have a Happy Thanksgiving as well! :-)

Re: Craft Show Report

I just did a three day show this past weekend. It was fantastic. Not only

was it packed but people were doing this crazy thing called " buying stuff "

! :) Who'd have thought? At most of the shows I've done this season

there have been crowds of people who were just looking. It's nice to see

this turn around.

Hope all of you are well, wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving....

Leigh

Leigh, that's wonderful!!!! Way to go! Were there a lot of vendors?

(stupid question?).

Congrats!

Thanks Shaye.

A small show next Sunday, one the first weekend of December and the last one

on December 12th. I do have more of the lava lip gloss - just have to get

it labeled. And I need more 'fish-in-a-bag'. Those do well for stocking

stuffers. The handmade soap kits also did well. People were intrigued by

the tooth powder. One lady bought some for her special needs son because

she was concerned about his not rinsing well after brushing. A good

marketing point.....

craft show report

Had a fantastic show yesterday in Buffalo. There were two other soapers in

attendance - a glycerin M & P crafter and another that had many lotions

and

creams. The lotion person had lotions for everything from itchy skin to

eczema. My daughter wanted to know how they could get away with claiming

the 'cures' for various skin problems. Don't know, guess they haven't been

called on that as yet. I had a customer ask for a soap good for eczema and

I told her that I couldn't make any claims. She did wonder why I couldn't

so I tried to explain but she wasn't really listening.

Things that sold very well - lip balms and lava lip gloss - go figure.
