Guest guest
, not to worry you but my daughter had T & A at 3 (4 now) and was in hosp. 3 days. she wouldn't drink or eat, fought us with the tylenol 3 & couldn't keep her sats up. Once she started drinking some it was alittle better, but I was not prepared for it being so difficult for her. It was a good week before she really began to drink well and feel better. Just want you to be prepared, it is not an easy surgery/very painful for them. Hannah has had many surgeries, but that was by far one of the worst as far as recovery. Even the heart and belly surgeries she tolerated better. Hopefully your little one will have an easier time of it. Good luck. will keep you in thought and prayers. Guest guest
My daughter also missed out on all the parties and special events also. To make matters worse, because of another illness she has every time she had fever she had to be admitted in the hospital and have a blood transfusion. Since having her tonsils out seemed small compared to what she's been through we decided to have it done. Since having her tonsils out she still has very low fevers, headaches, etc. but nothing compared to what she has and she doesn't have to miss out on anything. I know it's an operation but kids have their tonsils out all the time and even if it didn't work I would still say things were so bad before it was worth the shot.
