Well, you make me look bad, Colleen. Thanks a lot!! ;-)

Our tree isn't going up till dd comes around the 15th. Everything else is

up, though. No, my shopping is not done, and I only have one batch of

Christmas cookies finished. I'm making fleece pocket blankets for my in-laws,

since

they moved from FL to MI this summer, and toiletry baskets for all the

teachers, youth leaders, etc., but that's all the handcrafting for me this

year.

Guess I'd better get going!

Hi all you quiet people!!! Has everyone got their trees up?

just put ours up & put the lights on a few hours ago. I'll put the

ornaments on tomorrow when the kids go to school. Haha, I have to

have them on there my way! I put all my other Christmas decor out the

other day. I don't know why, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas

is coming soon.

Has everyone got shopping done? We've just got to get some pic frames

for the kids school pics to send to relatives & we are done. I always

start around March so I don't have to fool with it in December.

I made my list of cookies I want to make this year too. I'll make

those the week of Christmas so they are fresh for gift-giving.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Well aren't you ambitious and organized! <grin>

I was going to get out one of my trees, the one I decorate with angels, but then

I discovered that one of my Christmas Cactus is flowering... so it went where I

was planning to put the tree. LOL ... right inside the front door where it's

the first thing I see when I get home from work.

My whole downstairs is filled and overflowing with Christmas gift pack assembly

items and the whole assortment of soaps and lotions and bath products... so it

looks like a messy Christmas! I'm working on getting out or together 3 Secret

Santas, lots and lots of family and friends gifts, orders...I have tables set up

for each group! As soon as I can get all that out of here, I can think about

other gifts and decorating!

Hugs,

My tree is up. My husband and I have a party the first Saturday

in December so we decorate really early.

Shopping is nearly finished. I guess I was a little more

organized this year!

Mine can't go up until christmas eve anymore. I never knew how many miles of

thread was on a red satin ball, until pumpkin arrived. She's quite a tree

climber also, artifical or not.

well i am thinking that my parents and I are the last to put ours up.

Well it doesnt help that my sister's tree never got taken down in the

first place last spring. she never has visiters and she has been very

busy the past year. The decorations and lights got taken off but the

(artifical) tree itself stayed up all year. Which well helped her get

ready early this year. Maybe now she will have time to put out some

of her other decorations that havn't seen daylight in the past few

years.

My other brothers and sisters all got their trees and put them up

already. my parents have theirs but it's just not up yet. Since we

got our new doggies in october we are still trying to figure out how

they react to things. The one being a male will be interesting to

watch and keep an eye on as well he does what male dogs do best, and

likes to leave his scent on things. We have only really noticed this

once in the house though, Not sure if he has done it other times but

we know of once. So as to having a tree inside..... well we just

don't know what he is going to do. Knowing us we are thinking he will

be like

" oh goody look at what my new owners did they brought the tree

inside for me to go potty on. now i will never have to go outside to

he freezing cold snow. I have short little legs ya know so everything

is going to freeze if i go in the snow How nice of them "

Our other dog seems to enjoy chewing on things, particularly

plastic. We have decided not to put one decoration out already

because we have a feeling that they will chew it up. As we also found

one of our other dogs starting to nibble on it when she was a puppy

years ago. poor little elf. It is safe to say all our decorations

will be up pretty high this year.

As for me I have just finished all my craft shows for the winter,

this past weekend so now i can start with the lights(if it ever warms

up again) and my own tree. And yes i still have shopping to do. My

mom needs and wants so many things this year that i have no clue as

to what to get her. Do i dare get EVERYTHING?? I AM after all the

only one in the family that knows and cares to get stuff she actualy

needs. while all my other darn siblings just get her junk she could

never use, just stuff they happen to find. Of course since i am the

youngest with 9 years or more between them and me no one cares to ask

for my opinion even though I still live with my parents most of the

time so i of course know what they need. Anyways im rambling.

But by xmas everything will be done thats for sure.
