Hello -

I am Turchi from Tenafly, NJ. I am married 20 years to

and have a daughter (15) and son (10 w/DS).

is in Switzerland on a student exchange until July.

is in the neighborhood public school fully included in the 4th

grade classroom. He has pull-outs to resource room for math &

reading and his classroom instruction is modified. He has a full

time paraprofessional aide. I had to hire an advocate to get him

back in the public school after two years in a self-contained

school. The effort was well worth it. is in the chorus, took

an after school cooking class last year and this year is in the

after school chess club.

Today has a play date with Sammy whose Mom I met on this list.

One of the reasons I joined this list is to find him a local

friend. Having invited several school mates for play dates with no

reciprocal invite and only 4 (girls) coming to his birthday party

from over 30 invites (including 5 boys in his cub scout troop) I am

trying new ventures. He is signed up for a differently abled sports

program in another town starting next Sunday.

I am a former CPA and am now a massage therapist. I am certified in

therapeutic massage including children with disabilities.

had constant sinus infections from age 4 . His pediatrician

told me that due to 's head shape he would live with these

recurring infections the rest of his life.

I tried many different approaches to healing including acupuncture,

nutritional changes and applied kinesiology. All gave some

immediate relief but after three years there was still no healing.

was so congested that he was snorting and snoring at night and

having some periods of apnea. His nostrils were constantly red and

sore from the dripping mucus and nose blowing.

I took a class at my local Adult Education which was healing through

Aromatherapy/Essential Oils. The decision I made to take that class

has brought about life changing results for myself and my family.

After a week of using the therapeutic-grade essential oils (these

are not oils you can buy in a health food store) he was breathing so

much better and within three months the snorting and snoring were

gone. I still enjoy the quietness while walking by his bedroom at

night. As time has passed, there has been a process of deeper

healing. 's health has improved to where it is no longer an

issue.

A year later, I quit my corporate job, attended massage school and

now have my own practice. I love teaching people how to regain

their health, not just control it with a pill. I am passionate

about working with children and educating and empowering others to

take control of their health.

I know from reading posts on this list that many of your children

are on medication. I firmly believe in using pharmaceuticals when

they are indicated. I do hope to bring in an alternative, holistic

view in posting what I am doing with . I appreciate the fact

that you may or may not be interested in working with your child

this way. For those of you who are interested, it is my pleasure to

answer any questions you may have on the methods I use.
