I have a LOT of different molds and I have been

trying to organize them in large shopping bags according to season or

subject. This works somewhat for me but I wondered if anyone has any great

ideas they have figured out for organizing their soap molds without taking

up a lot of space.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The best I've done are rectangular-solid type bins that I can put my molds
in and stack the containers. I've grouped them according to " subject, "
Holiday, Geometric, Botanical, etc. Not ideal, but better than nothing. :-)
Someone I know of got a stand where they hang their molds on hooks and it
twirls around for easy access. That sounds nice to me.
You might have more than I do, Shaye, LOL. I do have 4 bins, 3 are full,
one still has room, which of course, means I need more molds. ;-)
LOL... the confessions of the mold junkies! <grin>
I have a metal shelving unit near my soaping area.. it has holes in
the posts and, yes, I do hang some of my molds from pegs on the
posts. I need to get a piece of pegboard cut for there. That would
be much better!
Does ANYONE have that much wall space??? LOL
For my plastic molds (like Milky Way molds) I have them in a 3 drawer
plastic tower with wheels. This is labeled on the front as to what is
in each drawer, just cause I've got a tendency to forget. LOL! My
silicone molds are in ziploc bags and then I put those in small
plastic boxes from the $ store, about the size of a shoe box.
LOL.... Soap and body product have taken over my home! More than half the
kitchen cupboards and drawers and counters are now for this obsession!
On Monday, someone asked me to make sausage bread for a party....I realized that
I no longer have a place to do that! My baking area is now devoted to this
stuff! Food prep is now relegated to a 30 " counter between the stove and
refrigerator.
Hi! My name is and I am a mold/soap/toiletry junkie!
I have the most patient husband. I have a third floor bedroom that has
become the " Curing Room " for soaps. My dinette has shelving and cabinets all
devoted to soap, lotion, EO's and FO's, bath stuff and candle supplies with
a work table for manufacturing purposes. Unfortunately, the table also holds
all the overflow stock items so the dining room table has to shoulder some
of the load. A corner in the dining room harbors huge bouquets of various
silk flowers for baskets and the living room closet was recently fitted with
shelving for packaging and containers. I'm looking to expand. Hmmmm, I
wonder if DH would be willing to trade his parlor office for my dinette. He
has twice as much room as he really needs....
Hi! My name is Barbara and I'm happily addicted! BTW - I retired an
interesting license a few years ago - I was a CASAC for many years
(Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor). Oh well, it takes one
to know one ....
Take up a lot of room??? Well, I guess that depends on perspective, and how
many molds you have (which for me, btw, is over 200 plus another 50-60
silicone molds-YIKES!)
Not really, until you get so many supplies that you have to put an 800
square foot addition onto your house so you can have a dedicated room/shop
so your DH stops complaining that every available inch of space has supplies
in it (then you realize quickly that even the new space is not enough.....)
I posted a picture of it in the photo section.
