Yes. I give a discount on their next order if they send a customer my way.

They get a code to enter. To encourage the 'friend' to enter the code, I

give them a discount as well.

Customer Loyalty Program ?

Does anyone here run a customer loyalty program thru their website?

I've been toying with the idea for a while, but not sure how to run

it. I've got quite a few loyal customers & do send them " extras " when

they order. However, if they were encouraged to send other customers

my way, I think it could be a win-win situation.

Anyone have any input on this idea? Thanks a bunch!

Collen,

It seems like you are talking about two different things. A customer

loyalty program and a new customer referral program. As for the customer

loyalty

program maybe you could offer them a card that you punch and for every $25

buck purchase you punch a hole and after 10 punches or how ever many you decide

they get a $25 gift basket. As for the customer

referral that can range from a free bar of soap to a gift certificate. I

wouldn't put yourself in the hole but for a good customer who gives you a new

customer a $5-$10 gift certificate would be nice.

Hi Colleen,

I do not have one currently but one that will be rolling out

shortly. What I plan on doing is having a discount code (mals you

can issue many for a desired amt.) for a % off when they refer

someone and they place an order. Now it may not fall under the

loyalty status but it does encourage them to find those who will

want to purchase from you. Then this would apply to each friend that

refers someone to the site.

Thanks to those who answered my question! I've been tossing around

both a customer loyalty & referral program in my head, with basically

the same ideas you all shared. Hehehe, great minds think alike!

When I sold Watkins products years ago, I had a $100 Club. I kept

track of my customers purchases, and when they hit $100 I would issue

them a $5 gift certificate. That worked out really well and I had

lots of people participate. It encouraged them to spend money & I had

a steady income. I was considering something along those lines for my

soap biz.
