Guest guest
Hi nne! Last month I got the Ultra Ship 30 Scale (on ebay)... pretty similar .. and have been very happy with it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem & category=58269 & item=3848609467 & rd=\ 1. The seller, Saveonscales, was super fast shipping and easy to work with. I will be interested in hearing what others have to say.! Quoting " lvjensen@... Guest guest
What features do you all look for in a good quality scale? I've been thinking of getting one just for the sake of figuring out shipping on larger orders. That and I'd love to not have to stand in a line at the post office waiting to mail orders. I'd like to be able to pay for postage online, but my scale only goes up to 5 pounds. I'd like at least a 30lb. capacity. Thanks! Guest guest
Colleen, I think you have to subscribe to one of the services to do the pre-pay postage... except for USPS PM. If any one knows differently, I'd sure like to know how, too! Guest guest
> ... except for USPS PM. - I'm looking for a scale so I can register & pay online with USPS PM. That's what I use to ship all my orders. But I'm curious as to what types of scales & their features everyone uses for their soapmaking/package shipping. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Colleen, Pelouze is one of the scales I use. Got it at Staples, and it hooks in online to download the postal rates and others. Once that is done, you just put the package on, select shipping option and put in zip code. Price is diplayed on the screen. Don't think it helps printing labels though. I still have to key in all the info to get a pre paid label. Guest guest
Hi- I've bought several scales [from 100ths of lbs./gms. to scales that weigh up to 13 lbs.]from OldWillKnott on eBay, and was very satisfied. For larger items, I bought a Tanita digital on Amazon and it's great. Very simple- memory for 3 different people [only the last weight]. As it's a 'people' scale and weighs in 10ths of a pound, it's super for packages! [i don't remember if it was Amazon, or an Amazon store. It qualified for free shipping, and was a nicer model & cheaper than the ones carried locally.] Deborah > Hi, guys! > > I'm looking at a digital scale on eBay right now.
