Guest guest
I'll try and keep this short. First of all, thanks to all who have posted - I see some new folks and some folks who have been around a long time but have been quiet. Tim and I live in Northern VA with our four children, one golden retriever and two bengals. is 23 and just returned to Argentina - she attends American University in DC, working on her grad studies. She is engaged to " big " Matt - a Lt. in the USMC. TJ is almost 22 and is a junior at WVU and is in the ROTC program (Army). Katey is 17 and is in her last season of being a cheerleader - and headed to WVU in August of 2005. Then there is - age 11 with DS (more later). Snoop is 6 years old and is overweight - he loves to be near when he eats. Our little girls are Chiquita and Fiona - purebred bengal cats - we rescued Fiona from being in a cage the first 18 months of her life- she has come out of her shell for the most part (we still can't pick her up and hold her). has many dx other than DS. He also developed seizures at age 7. The DS effects his neurological system more than anything (behaviors, moods, speech, etc.). He loves to give me flowers, snuggle up before falling off to sleep and getting me up in the mornings. He's in a self contained setting (not an easy decision but it really is best for him) and will be going to middle school next year. He calls his dad Tim - I think it's easier than saying daddy. He's very attached to his father. My three older children are awesome siblings! I'm a social worker (public child welfare - adoption related) and I think everyone knows Tim is an air traffic controller/union rep- Type A personality BIG TIME! --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
