Happy Easter Dear Colleagues,

Just a quick note on the "Steering of Injuried Workers." On Friday of last week I testified to the CAO survey that revealed that this is indeed a problem. I spoke in front of MLAC's "Care Provider" Sub-Committee.

What the Profession Needs you to do:

We need your individual patients to write a short (one paragraph is all that is needed, they can do more if they like) letter to the "Management-Labor Advisory Committee" telling their little story on how they were told; 1. They could not see you or any chiropractor., and/or 2. They must go to this or that Occ Med Center, Urgent Care Center, or the "company doctor," etc.

I need copies of these letters before the April 28 meeting of the full MLAC as well.

Attached is a sample letter, just a short letter is fine but make sure the patient tells their story.

This is critical as it will make very little difference if CAO and ODOC working together are able to gain the profession Attending Physician status or at the very least expansion to 24 or 30 visits & 90 days if the injured workers continue to be directed away from our clinics!

Best method to have your patients do this? Provide plain white small envelopes, and simple stationary paper and have them write the letter and address the envelope it in their own handwriting before they go back to the treatment room. They give you the letter back, you place the stamp on it and send it.......Important make sure to make at least two copies for your record and to send one to me so I have them in hand when I testify on April 28. I will have a back up of copies for every member of MLAC to present just in case!

Send copies to me Vern Saboe, DC 915 SE 19th Ave, Albany 97322 questions 541-231-4528

Doctors you simply must take the time to do this!

Thanks, yes I know how busy you/me/we all are but JUST DO IT PLEASE....................!
