You are right..... they are most effective, but they are the most painful too! I had it done on both the left and right sides, they are quite nasty.

There is no one who can do it for me now though, my pain doc has left Singapore....

Still not up to par, but that's ok...Have a headache, but Not a migrain... Eyes hurt... Keep getting lightheaded... ( Hubby says that's cause I'm a red head ) still have that nasty cold, ache all over, neck and shoulder are terrible with pain... Hands hurt real bad, that's why it takes me so long to post each one ( Other than that doing fine )

Yes, I go to the archives and read mine... So when is down or they are having problems I'm screwed !!!! (Sorry, head hanging low ) But I am ) I pay a one time fee here for my server a month, it is unlimited time and i have call wave to pick up any phone calls that come in, so it is pretty nice...

I start reading the emails where I left off the day before, cause if I skipped around I would Never remember who I answed and who I didn't and I don't like hurting anyones feeling, so I go in order )

Wow, your internet connection sounds great! I use a modem unfortunately, so I download all my emails, then disconnect and read them offline. Pay a fixed fee for 13 hr access every month, then pay extra when I exceed my 13 hr quota. However, telephone line charges are not included. I also have a free internet access account, but I do not use it so often as telephone charges are still included.

Really envy you, I feel restrained due to those telephone charges. I can subscribe to broadband or cable, but that costs a lot, and I will have to upgrade my computer. So currently not considering these options yet.

Unfortunately, flu shots are not common in Singapore. Come to think about it, I really wonder how capable my immune system is too. Saw my endo today for a regular visit....... I forgot to ask for a precription for my cough, and then went to approach his nurse to ask him for it. He asked me when my last chest x-ray was, and I replied April. [i guess he is concerned as I got pneunomia earlier this year?] Anyway I did not need another x-ray and was sent home with 5 bottles of cough mixture [Guaifenesin], a 2-week supply! Never received so much cough mixture in my life at one shot, haha.

I have a sinus cold that I have had now for over three weeks ( It will most likely stay the rest of the winter ( The pains in my head and neck have gotten quit severe today... They are making me dizzy again, so I know I have problems again ( I do not get anymore shots until the 19th of this month... I HATE those shots, but the small pain of them is better than all this pain... I can't turn my head to the right now ( Turning it to the left I can still do half way... I have to use my hands again to hold my head up when I look up ( Rest of the body is turning on me also, so must be in a Fibro flare ( Hope my Lupus is still in remission... We must be heading into WINTER ) It feels like it...

The doc did not say anything........ He did not ask much actually, as I only asked for the cough drops through his nurse, after my appointment was over.

I'm so sorry to hear about the cold and pain again....... I hate colds, I cannot sleep properly at night with them.... Are u taking any meds to ease the symptonms?

You are getting the occipital nerve blocks on the 19th? I agree that these shots really HURT, but when they work, it is really worth the pain! I used to have a sedative when I get them, but I could not tolerate the sedative, so I only got a local anaethesthetic in the future blocks, so they really hurt quite badly for me.

Yes, each winter I get a flu shot... They are offered to the elderly, weak,disabled, and chronic illnesses,children first... Then the public can get them if they have enough to go around... I am not taking anything for my sinus cold... I wait until it is really necessary to take something... I take a sinus pill twice a day year round, but it doesn't seem to help much in the cold months ( When I get my shots in the base of my skull, I do not get any sedative or anesthetic ( I just get the six to eight shots ( I usually pass out on him anyways, but this last time I at least waited until he was done...Yes they do hurt like sin, but when it is all over and done with the results out weigh the pain...Just wish the shots would last longer...Yes I go to the hospital again for the shots on the 19th of this month...Really am dreading it, but I have to do something, am in bad shape ( Didn't know anyone cared enough about me to worry... I'm having my school holidays now...... this is also a peak season here, as we have many festive celebrations.......

First is Deepavali [14 Nov] - the Indians celebrate their new year. We also have the Hari Raya Puasa coming up for the Muslims [No hard religious feelings intended here please, just stating a fact.], as well as Christmas!!!!! Also the Chinese New Year coming up next year too. So, the main shopping streets where the festive celebrations take place are really very lively these days, well decorated and lighted at night too! Of course, I must agree that this year people are spending less due to the recession.

How's that cold? If it is not getting any better please see a doctor and get some antibiotics! Don't want it to get worse..... or else I will have to smuggle some drugs over by speed post.... [FedEx? DHL? UPS???] hehe.....

Cough's ok..... stopped taking that cough syrup already, just want to leave that cough alone., since that little phlemgm left in the throat is not causing too much trouble. head and neck pain is still as 'wonderful' as ever. AAARGGGH!!!

Sounds like you are having a lot going on ) Sounds so pretty!!! Do all these go on for two months or just this month??? Are the children out of school also???

Cough and sore throat, runny nose all the good sinus thingies!!! I don't take too many antibiotics as I have reactions too them ( I take Biaxin when I go to the dentist for my cleaning and I tolerate that pretty good. I will be having this most of the winter now...It happens every year !!! i'll be alright... But thanks )

What I am going to say may sound a little cruel, I'm very sorry, but it is also what i observed from my mum and read from a book:

As one goes through the path of living with a chronic illness, there comes a terminal stage. This does not refer to cancer only, but generally all chronic illnesses. There are tell-tale signs for such a stage. The person becomes bed-ridden, prone to infections, unable to control their bowel movements, and so on.... Then they become delirious and confused, sometimes recognising and then not recognising their family members. My mother experienced all these symptoms in the last month before she died. It was only later when I read a book on coping with the death of a loved one, that I realised what I had observed from my mum were all the tell-tale signs.

The best thing we as family can do is then to make them as comfortable as they can.

Please forgive me if I sound too harsh.... I just want to share what I experienced...
