If trying to do your workouts in the AM will lead you to missing them, or resenting them, then it is much better to do them in the afternoon. That being said, I believe it is mostly the cardio that is enhanced by an AM time, since the idea there is to be in a fasting state. I keep hearing that fat burning is increased by doing it then, but I've never seen any kind of statistic, like " most people will see a 5% increase... " or something like that. I don't even know if the increase is significant enough for anyone to really worry about it. I'm like Alys in that, if I don't do it in the morning, I will never find the time. I totally hate the thought of working out until I'm DOING it and then I'm really into it. Most people find that out. I do the Hussman thing and say 'I'll just do 5 minutes' and usually end up doing the whole thing!
