Dear Doctors: disagree with Dr. Saboe on this topic. Medical Savaging

accounts are OK I have dad one for years but they will not be the system of the

future. They are going to work only for a small percentage of the population.

Before ODOC introduced the ANY WILLING PROVIDER concept we did ask a lot of

question about future industry directions. We came to the conclusion that the

lowering of medical cost is necessary and the only way for that to occur is to

create competition in the market place. The only way for that to happen it to

level the playing field, the any willing provider concept is the future

direction for the entire health care system.

Once again two corrections to your negative statements will need to be made.

I did not say at the Portland January MLAC meeting that 24 visits over 90

days was the only solution. The second statement that you made was that I told

you ODOC would not work with CAO legislative, in fact you told me that CAO did

not want to work with ODOC.

There are several items posted about the work comp issue. I personally would

like to have full attending status. In time it will be possible. But for

now not going to happen, the most logical is an expansion of the current

restrictions and I hope it will be 24 visits over a 90 day period. This

expansion

idea has a long way to go before it becomes reality. If anyone has a better

idea please feel free to jump and head to Salem the next MLAC meeting is on

April

the 14 Th.

If all goes well for us in Salem in 2007 this could mark the beginning for a

lot of changes for us legislatively and with the third party payer system. I

am 65 years old now and I cannot do this forever but I would like do leave

something on the table for future doctor of Chiropractic, like those before me.

ODOC needs your help, we cannot do this alone but together we can make a

difference.

Just because Vern Saboe said CAO will not work with us doesn't mean the rest

of you cannot. ODOC has built quite a legislative following and we have a

dedicated a great deal of money on lobbing in a positive direction. ODOC has a

very strong leadership group that is willing to do the extra mile. It is time

that all of you stop letting someone do all the work I have never worked

harder this past five years on association actives but I have also never have

had

as much fun, it has made me feel alive. Come on give it a try.

Yours truly,

Setter

and Vern:

I would like some perspective regarding the two state organizations. How

many ODOC and CAO members are there?

Thank you
