, all these would work I would think, but they would just have a

different feel.

Also, we are glad to have you with us!

Whipped Shea

Bill used Avocado Oil.. and also suggested Sweet Almond... What

other oils would be GOOD in Whipped Shea Butter? All I have on hand

are Grape Seed, Olive, and Safflower... But I did recieve 2 gift

certificates as door prizes, I can get those or other oils, if

necessary.

And... can I use this same technique with the Cocoa Butter that I

received in the Yankee Swap?

was 1lb shea and 1oz avocado oil with a bit of fragrance 1/2oz to 1oz

max. Sweet almond can also be used if you don't have avocado.

holds up better in the summer.

Thanks, Shaye!

Have a different " feel " ???? LOL... I have SO much to learn!

That Whipped Shea that Bill made with the Avocado Oil was awesome...

My elbows are still smooth! LOL ! I think I should use some of the

door-prize gift certificates for Avocado oil. And be patient, waiting

until it gets here, to whip the shea butter!

..... just as I am waiting for the silicone mold to cure... :D And

it IS... every day it gets a bit firmer.... gotta learn patience!

hehehe

Besides the SWO and avocado, I've used grapeseed, sunflower, apricot kernel,

and jojoba. Don't forget the vitamin E!

I've used cocoa butter in the past as part of the butter mixture, but it

doesn't whip up as nicely as shea does, esp. if you don't melt it first. I

don't think I'd use it exclusively.

Hi Jeanine!

My vote would be YES! :-) I was thinking about trying this myself. Mink

oil is supposed to be wonderful in any kind of skin applications. It's not

an overly greasy oil either.

HTH! :-)

Whipped shea
