Oh Helen...I'm gonna just scream!!! I went to the 24-hour pharmacy (30 miles away) and the pharmacist made me take the first pill there. I just got home, and my blood sugar crashed. I guess this pill can do that, but I didn't know. No one told me that Prednisone made your blood sugar soar anyway! I also cannot get ahold of Don. AGAIN!!! He checked out of the hotel he was at this morning at 5 am (he wasn't supposed to leave until Wednesday) and now won't answer his phone or return my pages. I spoke to him last night, but not today at all. As if I needed ANYTHING ELSE do deal with! GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may end up going to the ER tonight anyway, just in case. I hate going, but if it keeps doing this yo-yo thing, I may have to. The pharmacist gave me (didn't make me pay for it, I was very surprised) a medic alert bracelet that says "diabetic" on the other side. She also gave me a card to hang on my rear-view mirror...she knows me too well. I never depend on an ambulance...I drive myself! (Yes, Helen...I know...I hear you gasping) but I pull over if needed...but stupid ambulances charge you an arm and a leg for a five mile trip! ridiculous! Prednisone is a steriod, and steriods can make your sugar go high up......

HI heather.....

Dont ever ever drive if you sugar is too high or too low..... You can

pass out before you even have a chance to pull over. At a blood sugar of

500 i wouldnt step two feet near my car. No way. I wouldnt want to be

responsible for anybody else getting hurt if i were to pass out behind

the wheel.
