Guest guest
Hi I got your note about the transparent soap and I just had to share with you and everyone a conversation my son and I had about this soap and I wanted to let you know that even though my son has never met you... you have inspired him!! I was in the bathroom the other night removing one of those blasted seals off a tooth paste tube for Mikey. There on the shelf under the mirror is your transparent lavender soap. While he was starting to brush his teeth I picked up, held it up to the light said " Look, isn't this neat? " " You can see light coming through it " No response from Mikey So I go on like any other obsessed soaper would and say " You know this is made like the soap that Mommy makes in her crock pot only with a different process and it's not that melt in the nuker stuff " Knowing I don't make this kind of soap, I get Cool, where'd you get it? " About as interested in my chat as he can be with a mouth full of brush and paste.... I had a person cornered... and they had to listen to soap talk! lol Well I tell him " I got this from my Secret Buddy from the CNY list, " Well he about choked on his tooth paste and said KEITH? " " You mean a guy made that?! " " Guys make soap?? " So I go on and name off our men soapers on the list and a few from other lists I'm on and he said " You know what Mom... maybe I want to learn to make soap...If can make soap, I don't see why I can't. " And he had that look on his face... the look of genuine interest. *VBS* and That's how I left him and walked down the hall..... with a huge smile on my face. Now Mom can think of a few reasons right off the bat why he can't make soap yet.... lye being one of them... his Cerebral Palsy being another and I haven't come out and said he can't totally make soap, but his interest may be sparked just enough that I may not get that eye roll thing every time I go to make soap from now on and think I'll be able to give him a few jobs to do during the soaping process and have him feel like he's making the soap. We shall see... I have plans for a batch of soap on Friday. It's for a friend of his... maybe he'll want to grin the herbs and help me weigh out oils.
