Guest guest
Just wondering what date has been settled on? I do not plan to miss this one, and looking forward to meeting my friends in NYS. Huggs, Bekka
Guest guest
Forgot to ask - is this a no kids event? I completely understand if it is (I, personally, would love a day away from kids LOL) but I might need to bring my little guy (he's 1). Also, my 13 yr old dd is really into all this soaping/herbal thing so if she could come, she would be so happy. Let me know the " rules " , k?? Thanks. D. Guest guest
Hey , in the past, some have brought their kids but we have never had babies. I really dont want this to sound harsh and I have nothing against babies but do you think you might be distracted from demos and such? I dont know, thats your call. Your 13 yr old would likely enjoy it all though. Maybe I should set up an anonomys poll to allowed young kids to get a feel for how everyone feels about it. Thats waht I'll do and then you ALL can have sone input. Shaye RE: Re: Soap gathering Forgot to ask - is this a no kids event? Guest guest
Well, first off... Hi Pam, Welcome to the group! We are happy to have you here. I am Shaye. Colleen and I are listmom and I live just east of Rochester. Yes we do have our 7th annual gathering comming up in July. The plans are in process but I can tell you that it will be in Binghamton. There is a poll taking place right now to determine if it will be on the 14th or 21st. So click on polls and vote if you think you might want to come this year. Some things that go on at the gatherings are usualy a few demos', food, raffle, yankee swap, food, product swap, food, goodie bags, garage sale, and did I mention food? I think everyone has a pretty good time and we have gotten to be freinds and able to put faces to names and such. I am currently looking for some volunteers for demos' The only thing mentioned so far is if someone could demo liquid soapmaking, Im not sure if that is possible in the time allowed but its certainly open for discussion. Thanks Shaye www.mysoapshack.com Soap Gathering I was trying to find out if there is a soap gathering in either WNY or CNY this summer - someone told me in Binghamton in July, but I have no other details. Can you shed some light on the details?? Pam J. Orchard Park
