Guest guest
I use phenonip as well. I was using Germaben II, but that releases formaldehyde when it reached over 100 degrees - icky! So I switched. There isn't a truly natural preservative that I would trust or use. GSE is an endocrine-disruptor and that new " natural " preservative that To Die For sells has some issues as well. Bill Wallace from Snowdrift Farms has written about both of them on the 1natural list, and I trust his judgement and knowledge. I know that you can use potassium sorbate as a preservative, but I have heard that it's very fickle and tricky to work with. Of course, now I'm using a polymer emulisifier after about 300 oz of botched lotion batches, so there's no way I can call my lotion " natural " anyway, lol! HTH!
