Guest guest
I am looking for a hard lotion bar recipe. The ones I have tried are all too soft. Yesterday I tried 1 part coconut oil, 1/4 part apricot oil, 1 part beeswax, 1 part cocoa butter and while it is moisurizing it is too soft. Especially since I had the idea to put the base in a 2 " pvc and cut it from there. This recipe is better suited for a tube, I think. So I am looking for a lotion abr recipe that would be hard enough to use a 2 " pvc as a mold. Is this possible? -- Maureen Barger http://mo.cit.cornell.edu/ If I didn't start painting, I would have raised chickens. - Grandma Moses. Guest guest
Maureen, You can increase the beeswax till you get what you want. Also, im thinking when you cut it... it may not want to cut clean. Im thinking that because when I cut off some of my lotion bar base I make, its a bit on the hard side and dosnt cut clean but then its usualy right out of the refridge. I dont know, you can try it. Good thing about lotion bars is that you can remelt it down and do it different if your idea dosnt work out. Shaye Lotion bar suggestions I am looking for a hard lotion bar recipe.
