Guest guest
Lizz That's what I figured. I think we got taken!! That's probably why I gave up and shoved it to the back of the cupboard. If I remember right you also have to mix it with a lye and water mixture, too and since I don't have lye in the house I'll probably never use it anyway. I don't even know what the shelf life is on this product and mine's already a couple of years old so..... Thanks for the info, though. And if you DO find out anything down the road let me know. RE: Re: PolyEm and PolyGel Thanks . You have the same paper I have, but no instructions. I emailed Ellen's Essentials where I got the stuff and they said: That was 3 years ago. I no longer have the files for the instructions. But you can find recipes with some footwork. Check out Noveon/BF Goodrich or do a search for Carbopol. I did a search and found out that carbopol is a thickener or gel that does not require ewax, but nothing else. Labcolours trademarked the words PolyEm and PolyGel. Now that Jenn from LabColours is in LaLa Land we may never get an answer. I'm going to email her tomorrow, but don't ever expect an answer. I haven't looked for recipes yet. I'm only on a few other boards, but may post there to see if anyone else has some info. I'll try to keep you in the loop. It may take a while as I'm not moving too fast these days. Guest guest
, you are right, but only a tiny bit of lye so it probably not worth buying a whole can of it since you dont use it anyway. Guest guest
(That's what I get for answering posts when I'm way behind, before I read ahead to see if it's already been answered!) Sounds like Shaye has lots of good info on this stuff. Let us know how it turns out! Thanks, Shaye-you are a wealth of info! :-) :-) Carol J
