Guest guest Posted January 20, 2005 Report Share Posted January 20, 2005 Well basically opening your home to 30-40 people that love talkign soap. Gatherings have always been like the second saturday in July. Seems to work out better for the majority but we work around the needs of the host. We need to have a good place for demo's if you have a large kitchen or a kitchen with an island. A yard to hang out in. maybe hang some baloons out on the mailbox so the place is easier to find. Two years ago it was rainy but Dee had a large back porch. We need a place to put the food (everyone pitches in), a good place for displaying the goody bags and door prizes. The gathering committe does most of the work so the host really just needs provide a good place. If we decide to like get a deli tray or something like that we may ask the host to get it being that they are perishable, of course we all pitch in money to pay for it. There are pictures of past gatherings in the photos section that might give you some sort of idea. Shaye I am new so I have a million questions. What is entailed in hosting? What do you have to do?
