Guest guest Posted June 24, 2005 Report Share Posted June 24, 2005 Hi everyone, I am considering moving on out of Washington next year (the district won't let me out of mycurrent contract). I just can't afford to live here on a teachers salary. My property taxes went up 15% for the next tax year. So here is what I am requesting from all of you: 1. What are the school districts like where you live (for 's sake and my possible employment)? 2. Do you think it would be affordable for a single parent to live there? I make 35,000/yr currently. ( I can look up the teacher salary schedule for each state) 3. what are the advantages or things that would make someone want to live there? Any other info would be appreciated.
