Foaming Bath Truffles recipe

Hi, guys! I blogged this morning about my creative efforts, but I

thought that I would also post this recipe here. I experimented

with a " foaming bath truffle " recipe that I found on another list,

and they turned out great!!!

1 C baking soda

1/2 C cornstarch [could also use arrowroot powder, I'd imagine]

1/2 C citric acid

melted cocoa butter

It's up to you whether you want to use deodorized cocoa butter or

not. I used the " plain stuff " for a chocolate aroma and then added

some coconut FO. These things have the most amazing

chocolate-coconut smell! Mmm! Foaming bath truffles, from

what I've read, are fizzing/dissolving bath bombs but with cocoa

butter added for really moisturizing your skin. I thought they

sounded really luxurious! Of course, if you wanted a floral scent

or something, you could use the deodorized cocoa butter.

Anyway, the recipe didn't say how much melted cocoa butter to

use; what I did is add just enough to make the mixture moist, like

making regular bath bombs. I then packed them carefully into

molds [i'm going to upload pictures; these might be a little big,

and I probably would use something smaller next time] and let

them " cure " overnight. I was REALLY worried because they were

kind of wet and mushy, but this morning when I came into the

kitchen, I noticed that they had hardened right up. I should have

remembered how hard cocoa butter is, anyway!

The nice thing about these is that you can also use them in the

shower ... rubbing the " bar " lightly and they will dissolve. Hope

you guys enjoy the recipe! I would credit the source, but I have

*no clue* who they came from [i think that someone must have

just done an Internet search?].

nne- Those look really cool. Of course the candyaholic in me

thought they looked like yummy white chocolate bars! LOL! I like

that mold too!
