Guest guest
I just got an order today from Scentsations & Beyond, http://www.scentsationsandbeyond.com/silicone_molds.asp. I haven't had time to try the new molds yet, but they are sooo cute! If anyone is interested, their customer service is great & the molds look wonderful. There was a problem with the shopping cart, so I emailed them & they promptly took my order via email & shipped it out quickly. I'm going to try to pour them tonight. Hopefully I can take pics tomorrow and get them uploaded. I'll take a pic of my cp soap too! I ventured into the world of cold process soapmaking the other night. I'm pretty excited about that too! (And if the batch turns out well I think I just might be hooked. It was sooo easy!) Hope everyone is doing well! Guest guest
<<<Hope everyone is doing well! As well as can be in all the snow that dumped on us lastnight and today. The roads here in the Park are barely wide enough for a can now. I hope there isn't an energency and fire trucks have to come up through.... there's a chance they won't make it!! I'll toss a few pic's in my file and show you how burried we are up here Terri

It doesn't look like a " can " will fit on that road to me!!! sent me some pics of his parents house earlier. The snow bank was as tall as the shed. He can't wait to come home. He said the sun hasn't shined since he got up there & he misses it. Drive carefully if you guys have to go anywhere. Guest guest
Colleen Yes, please post pictures when you're done. Let us know how hard or easy it was. I'm curious as to how hard it is to use different soap colors in pouring or if you have to try to just " paint " portions of the soap after it's out of the mold. Guest guest
Sorry to disappoint you , but no soap pics today. The digital camera I've got doesn't work for doo doo. It looks fine when you take the pic, but when you get it onto the pc it's all out of focus. Sometimes I can get it to work, but today isn't one of those days! It'll have to wait until comes home, so next weekend I'll post them. The only thing I've got a problem with is pouring roses with leaves. The rose isn't " higher " than the leaves so when I pour, the rose color goes into the leaf part. You can either let that harden & pick it out carefully, or paint over it. On the rosebud one I pick it out. Other than that, the molds are extremely easy to use & provide lots of detail. Guest guest
, im not Colleen, but I can tel you this. If the part you want a different color, is easy to get to without moving the rest of the mold, I think its pretty easy to double/triple pour the colors. Working with silicone molds is a dream. Guest guest
Thanks, Shaye. I just wish they weren't so expensive for " single " molds. If you need to make a lot of one mold for say, a baby shower, it would take days and days to get them done. Do you know whether there's ever a problem with the fragrance oil scent remaining in the mold? RE: New silicone molds , im not Colleen, but I can tel you this. Guest guest
I know! thats one reason why they are a dream, you can only dream of having enough . LOL I only have one set of three different hat molds for my red hats and it took me two days to get a dozen each done for this one ladies order just recently. But she was thrilled and nothing else would have been the same. I have made more enough out of them that I could order another three but then it would be all the less money in my pocket. I havnt had a problem with fo scent permeating the mold. Shaye RE: New silicone molds , im not Colleen, but I can tel you this.
