Guest guest Posted June 15, 2005 Report Share Posted June 15, 2005 after Fiona was born (and I hadn't had any testing done in spite of my age because I wouldn't have had an abortion) my cousin said to me " how could you dare to put a burden onto society? " The principal of the grade school here when I was trying to get them to start an inclusive class " kids like that shouldn' be born today anymore " and another one While shopping with Fiona when she was very small a salesperson said " she'll outgrow it, won't she? " Comments like the last one I tend to forgive. That is just plain ignorance or sometimes it is a shock reaktion and the person just says anything (stupid) because they are so shocked they don't know what to say.
