> Long ago and far away on another list some of us did a brochure swap.

My problem is, is that I've never had one, so I don't know what I'm doing.

What are the basics everyone includes for content? LOL, there's a lot

of pages that can be filled there. I just don't want to overload it

so that the person looking at it gets bored & throws it out.

Thanks!

Colleen,

When I did my first brochure, it was in Word using their template. I just

included my business information (similar to my " about us " page on my website)

and then information on the ingredients that I use. Alot of people started

asking for a way to order through the mail so I started to include a mail order

form with the brochure. Later, I got more requests for a catalog so I dropped

the brochure and now have a catalog that I do using MS Publisher. I fold an

order form and put it inside the catalog. This isn't the trifold type like I had

when I did it in Word. This is a single fold. I use cardstock paper for the

cover and then plain white paper for the inside. I have one for Retail and one

for Wholesale. My Retail catalog is just a print version of my website as far as

what I offer. The Wholesale catalog includes Private Label info and Wholesale

Pricing, etc....It's not that fancy. No pictures or anything but it's better

than my first brochure I guess. I only send them on request. Hope this helps a

little.
