Colleen, those molds are so cute!. The baby shoes are just what I'd

like to do for my daughter's shower. Don't know how I missed this

supplier. Thanks for the addy.

You're welcome Jeanine! I should have the soap pics uploaded in the

next couple hours that I poured last night.

Sorry to hear about your sister. Some smokers just don't seem to

understand that their smoking is not only affecting their lives, but

those of the people around them. My father has smoked since he was

around 13 & quit maybe once because he developed a heart murmor and

was on a blood thinner. That was a few years ago & he's right back to

smoking again.

How is Val doing? Is she getting all ready to welcome the baby into

the world? How about ? How's his therapy going? Is he able to

talk more easily now? I hope everyone is doing well there & trying to

stay warm! :)

Well, it's been about 24 hours and I just checked my mold. To my dismay it's

still soft, which leads me to believe my forgetting the scale and eyeballing

the

catalyst/trying to go by mixing for color was a major boof. *sigh*

I'm sure it'll probably just take a little longer for it to fully set up.

Anybody have

a better mix than I? I know as time went on I was squirting a bit more into

the

cups I mixed up for everyone. Anybody get lucky?

Bob,

I couldn't get my mold out of the container this morning, but by tonight, I

could. :-) Had a little trouble with the mold sticking to the fish, but

I'll have to make a soap to see how it came out.

BTW, my son touched some of the mold when it was still liquid Sat. night,

and he had an allergic reaction, getting a big blister where he touched it. I

gave him Benadryl for it and put lavender oil on it right away, and he is

fine now, just waiting for the blister to go away. He touched the finished

mold

tonight with no problem! I mentioned it thinking that people should be

aware of the possibility.

Thanks so much for doing that demo! I would love to do more of them in the

future. It was interesting learning how to do it. :-)

My mold is still soft around the sides, but the top is hardening up nicely.

I'll keep waiting and watching!

Anybody else luckier than us yet? I've decided to wait and see

what everyone thinks of this stuff. I hope it's soft enough but if it

isn't we'll seek out something else. The mold Shaye had was

pretty soft and that's what I'm thinking everyone will want

eventually. The more detail you're after, the softer you'll want the

material.

Bob,

I made a m & p fish soap with my mold last night. It came out pretty nicely,

except that one piece came off in the unmolding. I'm going to do it again,

but let it cool longer before extracting it. I was a little too eager. . .

However, I am very happy with my mold. :-)

Mine is pretty well done, except for one corner. I'm waiting it out.

Even though the red one I did had a soft corner, which hardened

up once it was exposed to air, I'm being patient on this one. I

think this one had a pretty good chance of having no air bubbles

so I don't want to mess it up.

Thanks Bob!.... Patience is NOT one of my virtures.... but I am waiting until

the rest of you tell me that yours are done! at least I am trying to! LOL....

Mine is shallow so I think it will be cured sufficiently in another day or

two.... I do hope so, anyway, because I am not sure I can refrain myself from

" checking " it out a whole lot longer! <grin>

And, yes, I definitely do want to try making more, so please put me on your list

when you get more of the mixture!

I decided to try.

The top 3/4 inch is fine and ready... the bottom 3/4 " is still

mushy... so I stopped. I'll keep you posted.

Ok, you guys have teased me by far long enough LOL ; ))) I'm dying to make a

silicone mold. Can't instructions to make the molds and where to get supplies

be placed in our files section. Huh, huh, huh???? I really want to know how

to do this ; )))
