Mine are made by: Apothecon (Bristol Meyers/Squib)

They are aqua blue/aqua blue capsules ID: AP 0814/AP 0814

The only changes I have made have been:

Tried Minocin - couldn't take due to reactions

Doxy (generic) - must take with or after food otherwise I get dizzy.

If you are sensitive to corn, a corn starch filler can really lay you

away. Perhaps that is what got you. (Small doses engender more abrupt

reactions than large ones, hence eating corn on the cob may not " get "

you in the same way that a corn starch filler in one little capsule

does.)

I am amazed that there are people out there who still believe in the

extremely doubtful work done by Wakefield - 8 years ago - most of it

dicredited by his peers! Since then he seems to have disappeared on a

lucrative lecture tour of the USA and continues to prey on the vulnerable

I wish to take issue with the terms 'extremely doubtful' and 'discredited'

in the unsigned comment by gsingh1015@... . What does this mean? The

findings couldn't be replicated? Another interpretation was offered?

(i.e., the test was actually finding something different than first

thought?) There was no difference between study patients and controls?

That the test itself is unreliable?

This whole area is confusing enough that we must stick to the

facts as we understand them, discuss how to interpret them, and figure

ways to understand what is going on-- personal attacks and disparaging

comments do not help anyone.

Hi ,

The lye is very caustic. You don't want to breathe the fumes! You really

need your room to be well ventilated. Some people mix their lye water

outside. I mix quickly and turn my head away. Just use your common sense

Tim,

The medication used in the study is called colchicine. It is usually

used in treating gout. I have been on the study for 12 months. It's

low cost and with minimal side effects. I am a 1b with compensated

cirrhosis. (I've done Intron A and the combo and I didn't clear the

virus with either one.) I was given a endoscopy, ultrasound and a biopsy

before I started the study.

I get ultrasounds every six months and

labs every 3 months now. I have stable LFT's and ultrasound remains

unchanged.

I will get another biopsy and endoscopy in 12/02. Then I will know if

the colchicine

worked. I've got my fingers crossed :-)))

Hello Judy,

Let us know how it goes on the trial you're on

for the colchicine. How are the side effect? Do you

have the headaches, depression, hair loss, wacky

red/white bloodcounts etc? Curious. I hear so many

stories from people that were non-responders to INF

combos. So I'm curious about the one you're on.

When you say your LFTS are stable. Are they still

elevated? Your AST & ALT?

Thanks again and I wanted to say I like the quote

-Judy: That is sounding really interesting. We are going to be

watching and praying for you and this treatment. Who would of thought

that one organ would develope so much technical language to describe

the thing. Can you explain compensated cirrosis. I understand

fibrosis is sort of the stage before scarring or cirrosis, but I had

not heard the term compensated used in relation to cirrosis. But I

have allready admitted to being dumb and old and some of you probly

think I'm an insensitive clod by now for talking about weight issues,

and after punching the send button last time I thought geez that

sounded a little insensitive. I appologize. I could stand to lose 20

lbs. myself. But I havent had a cigareete in a month. Used the

nicotine gum and it was pretty easy. Thats the problem with gum and

patches its so easy to wean yourself off that eventually you think Oh

it wont hurt to just have one with a friend.

Hi, I am not new but sometimes reply to articles my name is and my

daughter is now 7 she has verbal apraxia due to being hit by a car when she

was two and a half the residual result is the speech problem and the ataxia

in her right hand.

She was diagnosed with ADD and is put on Adderal XR she has made major

improvement in her talking and her sentencing structure it helped her focused

on her words and what she does at home it has open a whole new world for my

daughter she now climbs trees and really listens a lot more I think that

anything that can help a child with a speech problem or that is autistic or

have any type of problem can benefit from a bit of focusing and not a racing

mind we have been through therapies and at home therapies we where doing all

natural vitamins from Shaklee which is a well known company. She was doing

all natural stay away from sugar, etc., etc., now its been 4and a half years

and its time to move on and try something that might improve my daughters

life. I just thought I send this note sometimes natural doesn't always help

but maybe some may feel different about it either way I hope this may help

someone out there. good luck to all and stay healthy. Later M

Am I correct that when I receive the digest form that any viruses are

" deleted " ? I know on other group lists this is true. Can someone confirm this

for me?

Where does one buy a stevia plant?

================================

I get mine at a nursery. Usually a nursery that specializes in herbs would

have it.
